Raising Girls Workshop
This is our project that focuses on STEAM (Science, Technology, Environment, Art and Media). 22% of women and girls are involved in science, 12% in Technology, 27% in Environment, 17% in Art and 10% in Media, hence the need for us to inspire and support women and girls in these sectors who are changing the narrative for global relevance.
Raising Girls Summit
As parts of at marking the International Day of the Girl-Child, this one day summit aims to explore key ways to promote the participation and inclusion of girls in the discourse of women’s empowerment. This includes addressing their vulnerabilities and equipping them to become agents of change in their various communities with yearly theme’s carefully crafted based on current happenings in Africa, the Summit aims to influence social change and policies to ensure the better life and future prospect of girls in Africa. The Summit targets over 5,000 participants directly with targeted audience including key stakeholders from international institutions, public/private sectors, NGOs, government, media, students, educationist, parents and the general public. The conference will also include an award session that celebrates women and men who have played key roles at different levels to promote girls in Africa.
Train the Trainer
This is our blending learning model in which a variety of training techniques are used for maximum effectiveness of our volunteers who in turn visit several educational institutions both in rural and urban areas training women and girls. This project basically causes a ripple effect.
RWI Mentoring Project
This is a safe space that matches mentees (who need or want the same skills and advantages to move up in work, skill level, or school performance) to mentors who have been and succeeded in fields that align with the mentees areas of interests.
